Fundraising for Summer "Retreat"

 Hello Sangha...

      I am new to the IDP Sangha but relative member of the Shambhala Sangha. My name is Daniel McCoy Baker and i'm a 22 year old "Buddhist" that lives in College Park, MD. I am taking the Shambhala Curriculum and aspire to go out to Karme Choling, Vermont for Dathun (A Month-Long Meditation Retreat) and Warrior's Assembly (One of the Heart's of Shambhala Training). I however am not a wealthy person, I wouldn't even go so far as to say i'm moderately well-off. So, in order for me to be able to attend these Retreats, I need to raise money. I intend to cover a part of it myself and i've applied for Scholarship both from Karme Choling and from the DC Shambhala Center, of which I am a member and regularly assist and attend classes at.

     I was informed by my MI and Center Director of a website called TheOfferingBowl.Com, which offers online pages to use in order to raise funds for yourself by interacting with the World-Wide Sangha. I not too long ago opened a page with them and have been trying to spread the page on the internet through friends and the Shambhala Sangha. I was advised by a person of the IDP Sangha to post a blog here in order to spread the information.
