How Patrul Rinpoche taught the Dharma, as told by Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche:
If, upon awakening, a student's first thought was, "May my mind be kind", she was granted permission to begin attending classes.
However, before entering the classroom, she was required to push her way past her classmates who were holding the doors shut against her. If, during this obstacle, she was able to keep only a kind mind, she was allowed to stay and learn.
After receiving the teachings, and learning powerful Vajrayana sadhanas, she was given the greatest mantra of all to practice: "May my mind be kind."
Because to truly make your heart kinder is all there is to the Dharma.

Peace to Everyone Everywhere!
