FAIR Economy? Learn and Party

Please join United for a Fair Economy and Responsible Wealth on Sunday, October 30th or two events in Brooklyn, NY.

1) Public Workshop

• When: Sunday, October 30th, 2:00-3:30 pm.

• What: Go beyond the sound bites that pass for national dialogue on the Great Recession; examine trends in the distribution of income and wealth using "human graphs"; explore the impact of trickle-down policies on our lives; and plan what we can do to protect vital public assets, including our democracy — all in a participatory way that draws on your personal experience.

• Who: Great for families, students, voters, immigrants, and everyone who cares about economic fairness.

• Where: Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture, 53 Prospect Park West, Brooklyn, NY 11215.

• Cost: $15 or whatever you can afford.

2) Members & Friends Party

• When: Sunday, October 30th, 4:00-6:00 pm

• What: Learn how United for a Fair Economy and our Responsible Wealth project address growing income inequality and the racial wealth divide; meet people who share your values; discuss the economic issues of the day; experience a brief example of our workshop; and enjoy light refreshments. Special guest appearance by local performance artist, Professor Louie.

• Who: Great for people who care about organizations and strategies, as well as economic issues; no children, please.

• Where: We'll send the location and directions once you RSVP.

• Cost: Donations are welcome, but not required. We hope you'll be inspired to join us.
