Daily Connect: Buddhism - Good for a laugh?
Occasionally, I've noticed that my humor is a bit inaccessibly Buddhist leaning. Let me explain. For instance, last year I had a particularly rough day and set my Facebook status update to "Kicking it with Samsara. Homies till the end yo." I thought it was HILARIOUS. But the "lol"s didn't stack like dominos as I had hoped.
I mean Samsara as a homie? Funny, right? But last night as I was trying to think of pithy and funny Buddhist sayings, I came across this article in the Shambhala Sun on "So what's so funny about Buddhism?". Apparently, a LOT is funny about Buddhism my friend. All those selves embracing their non-self? I mean, please. Funny. Have a favorite Buddhist joke? Your own obscure humorous anecdotes? Share them! And, as always, happy Thursday dears.

A Buddhist walks up to the Hot Dog vendor and asks, "Make me one. With everything."
He gets the dog
and pays with a twenty. The vendor doesn't make a move to give him any cash back, so the buddhist asks what gives. Vendor tells him "change must come from within."
