Daily Connect: Pure Indulgence and Large Scale Starvation

The NY Times is reporting that half a million children are on the verge of starvation in Somalia at the same time this Haagen Dazs sign pleads for us to "Experience Pure Indulgence"

If you don't have money to donate to doctors without borders, and you're not in a position to re-tool you country's foreign aid policy to help feed those who are starving, there is one thing that you can still do to help.
For today, as a practice, try not to indulge in unnecessary food consumption. Before placing any food in your mouth, you can ask yourself: "Why am I going to eat this?" Notice what the answer is, and feel free to share your experience in the comments below.
