What Are Journals?

Curious what other people think about your new zafu? Have a point of view on current events or a great recipe to share? Post it here!  Community Journals are the place to post pictures, text, and video links to share with the greater community of people interested in Interdependence and Buddhist Meditation.  You can also browse recent posts and vote your favorites to the recommended journals list.  You don't have to be an IDP Member to post, you just have to have a login.  The conversation is in your hands, take it where it needs to go!

There are a few ground rules to check out below, but beyond that, we want to hear what's on your mind.

Ground Rules:

  • Abusive language and excessive hostility are grounds for account deletion.
  • Personal attacks on other users could lead to account deletion
  • Self-Promotion of your Journals in the comments of other journals and featured posts are allowed if and only if your journal is relevant to the conversation happening in the comments.
  • Copying and pasting complete copyrighted articles without permission from the copyright holder is absolutely prohibited by both this site's policies and copyright laws. Copyright infringement can expose both you and the site's owners to financial liability.
  • Limited copying within the bounds of the doctrine of "fair use" is permitted. A reasonable rule-of-thumb is that copying three paragraphs from a normal-length news article or editorial is acceptable. For more on fair use, please visit this site.
  • When you quote material that is not your own, please provide a link whenever possible. Also, use the blockquote tags to set off the copied material so that your writing is distinct from the material you are copying.
  • There is great potential for this site to facilitate engaging conversations, creative group projects, and be lots of fun.  Don't spoil it with self-promotion or aggression.
