THE BACK TO THE SACK Initiative aims to eliminate plastic bag usage in New York City through sustained and mindful political action that comes from a place of compassion and an understanding of interdependence.
OUR CURRENT EFFORTS include both awareness raising on this critical issue through arts as well as legislative advocacy to promote and pass laws that will reduce plastic bag consumption.
WE'RE WORKING WITH a coalition of New York State Senators, Legislative Analysts, local activists, environmental organizations and regular people to make our vision a bag free New York a reality.
