Does that sound a little bit like our culture? In the parable of the burning house the father in question has to be creative--and the solution he comes up with has everything to do with practice.

We often find ourselves confronting life situations that seem both illogical and unsolvable. We want to do the “right thing” but more often than not our logical decisions only lead to more complications and unhappiness. Once we think our way out of one difficult situation we find ourselves bogged down in another one.
