Daylong Retreat and Workshop
This Daylong Retreat and Workshop is a great opportunity to receive instructions and ask questions about meditation and Buddhist practice from one of the most highly regarded and experienced of the younger generation of American Buddhist teachers. The morning will be devoted to enhancing our meditation practice, and in the afternoon, we will discuss the applied philosophy of the Interdependence Project: how contemplative practice can help us succeed at building a creative, engaged, and multifaceted community in our local area.
Ethan Nichtern is the founding director of the Interdependence Project, an NYC based nonproft dedicated to Buddhist-inspired meditation and psychology, integral activism, mindful arts, and meaningful media. He is also author of the acclaimed book One City: A Declaration of Interdependence (Wisdom Pubs) . His writing has been featured on Huffington Post, Beliefnet, Tricycle Magazine, BuddhaDharma Magazine, Reality Sandwich, and other online publications. Ethan has been teaching meditation and Buddhist psychology and philosophy in the Shambhala tradition since 2002. He is currently on the part-time faculty at Eugene Lang College at New School University and lectures regularly at Brown, Wesleyan, and New York Universities.
