A discussion about how to support others who are behind bars or recently home from prison

In response to a swelling prison population in the United States, the ID Prison Project is offering an opportunity to become involved in direct service work, legislative initiatives and community engagement on issues related to Incarceration and Criminal Justice Reform.

This meeting will serve as an overview of our current initiative and as a planning session for our upcoming penpal program. We are honored to have special guest Sokuzan Bob Brown joining us for the meeting. Bob has been involved in Prison Dharma work for over 10 years; offering services for inmates and advocating for inmate "meditation rights". He is currently training members of his own community to offer basic meditation instruction in prisons and will speak to our group during the second half of the meeting.
