What does it mean to call yourself a Buddhist? Formally, one is called a Buddhist practitioner after taking the refuge vow. Eric Spiegel, a master teacher in the Shambhala lineage, is offering an exploratory class for those contemplating taking the vow over the weekend and an informational overview of what the vow entails for those who have already committed to taking the vow over the retreat. This class is also for anyone who is interested in understanding what the refuge vow signifies or for those friends and family members that want to support those taking the vow during this weekend retreat.
