Want to eat delicious food? Want to help save the environement? Want to have more energy in your daily life? Want to reduce our dependence on Foreign Oil?
If you answered "hell yes" to any of these questions, and live in the NYC area, join us for a workshop that will show how the simple act of eating mindfully affects our personal contentment as much as it does our planetary health.
Led by IDP Meditation Teacher Ellen Scordato, and a part of our Responsible Consumption Month at the Interdependence Project, the workshop will include information on how to eat locally, history and importance of the Union Square Market, and will include a guided mindful eating exercise.
"..When you chew, chew only the carrot, not your projects or your ideas. You are capable of living in the present moment, in the here and the now. It is simple, but you need some training to just enjoy the piece of carrot..." - Thich Nhat Hanh
Please bring some money to buy a small piece of food for the mindful eating exercise. (Apples cost less than $1!)
We will meet near the Gandhi sculpture on Union Sq. West near E. 15th St.
