Join David for an evening of discussion and contemplation on how our relationship to jealousy and resentment can inspire us to awaken andcultivate joyfulness. We will focus on noticing and beginning to investigate these difficult feelings, and learn to observe how the interplay between joy and jealousy effects our ability to allow authentic action to emerge from ourselves and others.
David Bartlett has been practicing meditation with IDP and Ethan Nichtern for five years, as well as participated in several intensive meditation retreats invarious Buddhist traditions. He is a recent graduate of the 2011 IDP Teacher Training Program, and holds a BA in Psychology and Biology fromYork College. He will begin graduate school to become a Physician Assistant in the fall of 2012, and has also completed work towards becoming a Buddhist Chaplain through the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care. He is grateful to all his teachers and the teachings he's received, and wishes all good things for all beings, everywhere.
