There is nothing like the power of immersing yourself in the practice of meditation and teachings for an entire weekend to deepen the experience of practice. This retreat is one of IDP's four retreats that convey an overview - yet deep - understanding of core Buddhist meditation techniques and psychological teachings.
The focus for this retreat is on the two main transformative compassion techniques of Metta (lovingkindness) and Tonglen (exchanging self and other).
This weekend retreat includes:
- Lectures
- In-depth meditation instruction & practice
- Short yoga breaks
- Discussion
The retreat will run Friday evening 7-9pm, Saturday 10am-6pm, and Sunday 10am-1:30pm, leaving students with ample time to relax and absorb the practice on Sunday afternoon.
There will be lunch breaks on Saturday and Sunday, but lunch will not be provided. Participants should bring a bag lunch or take advantage of the diverse eateries available in the neighborhood.
Cost:
$120 - Non-Members
$90 - Full Members
