You may sign up for study-at-home any time through Aug. 27, 2012. If you plan to take this class for credit in the Secular Buddhist Studies Program, you must complete the study questions by Sept. 27, 2012. (Questions will be sent out before the end of the course)

Monday Nights at IDP this summer offer an opportunity for students to deepen their study and practice of Buddhist meditation with Shastri Ethan Nichtern. This course will present an overview of the Three-Yana Framework of Tibetan Buddhism while offering instruction for deep engagement in meditation, study, and self-transformation. Each class will end with detailed guidelines for daily practice for the following week.

August 27 - The Path of Devotion
Ethan Nichtern is a Shastri, a senior teacher, in the Shambhala tradition. He is the senior teacher in residence for the NY Shambhala community as well as the Interdependence Project. He is the author of the novel Your Emoticons Won't Save You and the nonfiction book One City: A Declaration of Interdependence. He is also the founder of the Interdependence Project, an organization dedicated to Buddhist-inspired meditation and psychology, transformational activism, mindful arts, and meaningful media.
