Get your dharma on this summer!

Monday Nights at IDP this summer offer an opportunity for students to deepen their study and practice of Buddhist Meditation with Shastri Ethan Nichtern.   This course will overview the Three Yana Framework of Tibetan Buddhism, while offering instruction for deep engagement in meditation practice, study and self-transformation.   Each class will end with details guidelines for maintaining daily practice in the coming week.

July 16 - Conquering the Hindrances
July 23 - How to Act Like A Bodhisattva

August 27 - The Path of Devotion

Ethan Nichtern is the founder and Senior Teacher in Residence of the Interdependence Project.   For the past eight years, Ethan has taught ongoing meditation and Buddhist psychology classes and retreats in New York City and around North America. He is on the part-time faculty at Eugene Lang College at New School University and lectures regularly at Brown, Wesleyan, and New York Universities.  In the summer of 2010, Ethan was empowered by his teacher, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, as a Shastri, a senior teacher of the Shambhala tradition representing the New York region. He has also studied Theravadan and Soto Zen traditions, and is an avid yoga practitioner.
