Wondering how to get involved with state and local politics?  Zachary Ahmad, from the New York Civil Liberties Union will be joining us from 7-8pm on 6/2 to tell us how to effectively engage with our legislators to affect policy and legislation.

Our Engaged Practice Group supports activists and all those committed to a compassionate and just world.  We meet regularly to discuss our individual efforts, our collective endeavors, and share our experiences.  Meetings are led by friend and IDPeep Matt Jones, Board Director Tarikh Korula, and Teacher Jackie Stewart.  We'll be considering the many ways we can get involved and support our values, and also share our experiences with each other.   This evening will include guided meditation.

This is a drop-in event, and pre-registration is not necessary. We're offering it on a donation basis, and request each participant to contribute between $10 - $20. 100% of our income comes from individual members and students.  Your generosity allows us to meet our operational costs and continue to offer need-based scholarships. No one with financial difficulties will be turned away.

As a not-for-profit organization, IDP is supported by the generosity of our community. Please become a Member today!
