Do you have recently strained relationships with family members, friends or co-workers over political issues? Would you like to be able to navigate politically charged conversations more skillfully?  If so, please join us for another special evening designed to help you learn strategies for speaking with people who hold different social views or points of reference.  Learn to communicate effectively, while drawing on the support of your body and your values to ground and guide you in finding paths to more productive dialogue.  This event is designed for those who attended our August Brave Conversations night, as well as those new to this program.

Psychotherapist and group facilitator, Robert Mauksch, is a licensed clinical social worker and certified Gestalt Therapist with a private practice in New York.  He works with individuals, couples, groups, and organizations to effect meaningful interpersonal and cultural change.  Robert offers a dynamic and creative approach that uses curiosity and a close attention to language and the body to open up areas of tension, and to release energy for personal and interpersonal growth.  He has led workshops and courses on issues, including: group dynamics, leadership skills, social movements, and dialogue for cultural change.  In addition to his private practice, Robert is an adjunct instructor for the City University of New York (CUNY), and a clinical supervisor for numerous psychotherapists in private and public practice.  Learn more at his website:.
This event is offered on a sliding scale donation: $5/$10/$25/$50/$100

Please choose the highest rate you can reasonably afford.  This allows us to continue to offer initiatives like this and others to as many people as possible.
THE INTERDEPENDENCE PROJECT has been offering mindfulness and contemplation in NYC since 2007.  Using traditional techniques updated for modern life, we enable everyone to create happier and wiser relationships with themselves and others. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
