Hi everyone.
I'm writing to ask you for money -so keep reading, love me and please say yes!
I am participating in a marathon to raise money.
It isn't a marathon where you run or dance or walk, it's a sitting marathon.
I will be meditating for part of a 24 hour meditation marathon in the windows of ABC Home and Carpet on Broadway in Manhattan. The purpose is to raise money for the Interdependence project or the IDP, which holds a very important place in my life.

The IDP is an educational and advocacy non-profit dedicated to meditation, integral activism, mindful arts, and meaningful media.
Why am I doing this?
Meditation has filled the missing piece in the puzzle for me. The shape was always there waiting and then it just fit. I meditate because it creates an infinite amount of space. This space and calm abiding allow me to be more present for my friends, family, students, for all people, for my artwork and also for every single moment.
I meditate at the IDP because it is a smart community of people who are dedicated to the overlap of meditation and action in everyday life.
I hope you will want to sponsor me because this is something I care about and the IDP is helping to transform the world.
Also my 33rd birthday is coming up, so instead of a new drill, a replacement i-pod or film for the artists residency I am going on in a week, you can donate 33 dollars to a good cause for me! I will be sitting still for the better part of 4 hours with only the madness of my mind, which I hope to clear out so that I can work for the benefit of all beings!

As many of you know, I’m considered to be both pro and anti Free Software and Open Source, depending on your side.ccip questions Although I consider myself to be pro free and open source software and this entry is highly critical of the FSF, be warned.Basically the Free Software Foundation is a poor provider of grass roots energy for it’s cause. In fact its obstinate, angry views combined with it’s anti-community culture, serve to suck the life out of the movement. In fact if Free Software philosophies are to become successful,ase questions I think it’ll be despite the actions of the FSF. It seems to want to serve as a top-down father figure, and very much not a bottom-up grass roots organisation, like all political movements it’s falling for it’s own inability to work with people on the ground to effect change.
Today they’ve sent me another email asking me to become an FSF Member.ccsp questions So concerned are they will increasing their membership money that I can’t remember when I last got an email asking me for my ideas, my concerns, my involvement. What is also sad is the wording, it’s very obvious that the organisation has become the worst kind of charity, empty of compassion but big on quotering it’s money making membership.
