Portland, OR
The ID Project Portland began meeting in the spring of 2008. We officially launched in September 2008, when we hosted Ethan Nichtern for a day-long meditation retreat and launch party.
Our Thursday meetings focus on the fundamentals of meditation practice and Buddhist principles. In each class we explore the overarching theme of interdependence - that nothing exists in a vacuum - in 21st century life. We offer periodic guest lectures that explore this theme in more detail; for example, we've recently had guest lectures on mindfulness in psychotherapeutic practice, and on mindfulness in consumption practice. Each meeting begins with a sitting meditation, and beginners are always welcome.

Recently moving to Portland from San Francisco, Davee splits his time between his engineering business and supporting others’ study of Dharma at both the Shambhala Center & the Interdependence Project.
