How Internet Blackout on 1/18 Will Affect the IDP

to protest SOPA and PIPA, myself and a few other IDP Staff and Leaders have decided to boycott the internet this Wednesday from 8am-8pm

Living far away from IDP I sometimes struggle with the idea of membership or donating to an organization that's so far away, knowing I can't participate in many of the events or programs. There's this common perception that 'charity begins at home'. But what interdependence means is knowing that affecting positive change far away from home can still benefit me.

Good Grief: why I'll march to #INDICTAMERICA tonight

Grief is an appropriate response.  I feel it running down my spine, pooling in my legs, and pouring into the earth I pray can hold all this. 

Last night, the grand jury in Ferguson Missouri released their decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson for the murder of unarmed teenager Mike Brown.
