I was born upstate and started practicing Buddhism in the Drikung Kagyu lineage when I was around 14. It became very important to me, and I took robes for a few years in my late teens/early 20s. I continue to learn from many Drikung lamas, Lhoppon Rechungpa, and my dear teacher Tulku Nyima Gyaltsen. Metta and vipassana are mostly what I practice these days, aside from my Tibetan commitments, and I've been fortunate enough to study with Johann Robins and Peter Williams in Boulder and Sylvia Boorstein, when she's been in MA. I can't underestimate the impact metta practice has made on my life.
Otherwise, I'm a clinical social worker doing therapy with families, young people living with HIV, and young transgender folks in the process of transition. I love clinical work, and gardening, and Prospect Park.

Let it go, let it out.

Let it free, and it can be
