01What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a site. It lets the site remember things between pages and visits, such as what is in your cart or whether you are signed in. We also use related technologies, including local storage, pixels and software development kits, and this policy covers all of them.
First party cookies are set by theidproject.org. Third party cookies are set by services we use, such as analytics or payment providers, and are governed by their own policies as well as this one.

This inventory is verified by a quarterly scan. Where a name or expiry differs from what your browser shows, the live consent tool is the authoritative record.
04Managing your choices
On your first visit a banner lets you accept all, reject all non essential cookies, or open settings and choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and non essential cookies are not set until you opt in. You can reopen the panel at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer, and your choice is remembered for 12 months or until you clear your browser storage.
- Browser controls. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies through its privacy settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break checkout and sign in.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt out of sale or sharing where applicable law recognises them.
- Analytics opt out. Google provides a browser add on that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data on any site.
Visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom and other consent based regions see the banner before any non essential cookie is set. Visitors in regions that operate on an opt out basis can withdraw at any time through the same panel.

We update this policy when we add or remove a technology, and the revision number and effective date above will change accordingly. Personal data handling more broadly is described in our privacy policy. Questions about cookies go to privacy@theidproject.org.
