Terms & Conditions and Return Policy

01Our role

The ID Project is an authorised distributor of research produced by independent publishers. Intellectual property in each report stays with its publisher. We sell you a licence to use that report; we do not transfer ownership of it. Where a publisher imposes specific terms, those terms apply alongside these and are stated on the product page.

02Licence types

All licences are internal use only. You may not resell, sublicense, host on a public site, or reproduce substantial extracts for external audiences without written permission. Short citations for internal or client work are usually permitted with attribution to the publisher, but check the product page first.

03Orders, pricing and payment

Prices are listed per licence and exclude taxes unless stated. Applicable VAT, GST or withholding tax is added at checkout or on invoice. We accept major cards, bank transfer and purchase orders from approved organisations. Reports are released once payment clears or, for PO customers, once the PO is confirmed. Standard invoice terms are net 30 days.

04Delivery

• Most digital reports are delivered by email link within 24 business hours of confirmed payment.
• Reports requiring publisher release, personalisation or watermarking may take up to 3 business days.
• Annual services and subscriptions are activated within 2 business days.
• If delivery will exceed these windows we notify you and you may cancel for a full refund.

05Return, cancellation and refund policy

Research reports are digital goods delivered immediately and cannot be returned once accessed, in the same way as other licensed digital content. That said, we do not keep money for something you could not use. Refunds are handled as follows.

• Before delivery. Cancel any time before the report is sent and receive a full refund, no questions asked.
• Wrong item delivered. Full refund or free replacement with the correct title.
• File corrupt or inaccessible. We replace the file. If we cannot, you get a full refund.
• Content materially different from the published abstract or table of contents. Report the discrepancy within 7 days with specifics. If we and the publisher confirm it, you receive a credit or refund.
• Duplicate purchase. Full refund of the duplicate charge.
• Change of mind after delivery. Not refundable. Ask for sample pages before buying.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. Bank charges on international transfers are not recoverable. Send requests to support@theidproject.org with your order reference.

06Accuracy and liability

Reports contain forecasts and estimates. They are opinions based on stated methodologies, not guarantees of future outcomes. Neither we nor the publisher is liable for decisions taken on the basis of a report. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the item in question, and we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss including lost profits.

07Termination, law and contact

We may suspend access where a licence is breached, including unauthorised redistribution, with no refund. These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], and the courts of [City] have exclusive jurisdiction. We may revise these terms; the version in force at the time of your order applies.
